Charlie Cantrell will explain his particular method for developing comedic material for a stand-up comedy routine. He's not teaching a comedy class, but instead, presenting his unique work process. Others may use aspects of this workshop and implement it into how they approach comedy or creative writing in general.
Biography: Charlie Cantrell is a college student and a professional stand-up comedian. He started performing stand-up comedy at 17-years-old and has continued to perform for the past 5 years. He performs several nights a week and writes comedy daily. His comedy is clean, no curse words are used, yet some of the subject matter he talks about on stage can be mature. Overall, his act can be rated PG-13. Some of his favorite comedians are Conan O'Brien, Garry Shandling, Roy Wood Jr., Norm Macdonald, Eddie Murphy, Jon Stewart, Chris Rock, Stephen Colbert, Iliza Shlesinger, Leslie Jones, Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan, Wanda Sykes, Robin Williams, and Tracy Morgan.
