Brenda Pittman has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She has been employed with the City of Chesapeake Police Department for the past 20 years. She started her career as a Forensic Specialist where she learned how to document, process and collect evidence at crime scenes. Pittman graduated from the Virginia Forensic Science Academy 73rd session June 2007. She enhanced her skills through continuing education in crime scene investigation focusing on fingerprint evidence. In 2018 with intense interest in fingerprints Brenda Pittman transferred within the Forensic Unit and completed training as a Fingerprint Examiner. In her career, she has processed over 4, 600 crime scenes and successfully identified fingerprints in over 280 cases.
