Harper Lee Meeting RoomJoin poet, author, and spoken word artist Sharran C. Taylor, also known as Kween Yakini, for a two-hour exploration of Black music.
Kween Yakini will discuss how Black music has played a crucial role in changing perspectives and shaping music in America. Participants will walk away with a new appreciation for the creativity, courage and persistence that was able to break through racial biases, create the Harlem Renaissance and spark a generation of Civil Rights revolutionaries.
