I am looking forward to meeting you and working with each of you on January 11. Before, I write further about journaling and creativity let me introduce myself. I am a retired Art Teacher and Art Therapist. I worked in the public schools for 20 years and in the community for about 34 years. I currently have a studio at the Artists Gallery in Virginia Beach where I work on my personal art. I also teach classes for Tidewater Arts Outreach and travel all around the Hampton Roads area.
Enough about me now back to journaling and the program. Journals are a great place to explore, gratitude as well as grief. A journal is a place to explore your feelings, thoughts and emotions or to organize a plan. To create the journal, you will be using a discarded book, which the library has for you. You will spend time on the cover and personalizing it. I will be there to guide you through the process. There will be time to work on prompts to get started using your journal. This program will be fun and interactive. I am here to get you going.
