This educational program explores how severe weather events, such as storms, hurricanes, cold snaps, and snow, impact wild bird populations in the Tidewater region. Participants will learn about the natural history of brown pelicans, relevant laws and regulations, and gain practical knowledge on how to safely rescue, handle, and transport injured birds during and after weather events.
